The RBU-6000 is the most widely used of a series of forward-firing anti-submarine warfare (ASW) shipborne rocket launchers designated RBU.
The launcher has 12 barrels arranged radially in a horseshoe configuration. Hinged brackets are positioned at the front and rear sections of the barrels. The front bracket is designed to plug connectors for firing preparation and set the munition’s fuse. The rear bracket is used for launching the munition’s march motor.
