The YJ-18 is a Chinese-developed, long-range, sea-skimming, anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM). The missile is estimated to reach speeds between Mach 2.5 and Mach 3 and designed to conduct evasive maneuvers during the terminal phase of an engagement.
The missile has both submarine and surface ship launched variants and resembles the Russian SS-N-27 Sizzler.
