Country of Origin: North Korea
The KN-01 is a North Korean anti-ship cruise missile thought to be derived from the Chinese CSS-C-3 Seersucker, a copy of the Russian SS-N-2 Styx, but with a longer range. There has also been speculation that the Iranian Ra'ad missile is based on the KN-01.
To achieve greater range than the Seersucker, North Korea is thought to have installed a turbojet engine in the KN-01 in place of the original rocket motor.
