The AS-4 was Russia's primary anti-ship missile.
The missile features delta wings at mid-body, cruciform "chopped delta" fins at the tail and a ventral fin that is folded during flight.
The flight path includes launch at approximately 20,000 ft (6,100 m), a rapid climb to high altitude, cruise at Mach 2.5-3.5, and a steep dive onto the target.
