The Iron Beam is a 100-kW-class defensive high-energy laser system being developed by Rafael for the Israel Defense Forces. The system is expected to be the first operational laser for ground-based air defense against rockets, mortars and uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs). It can also be used to engage surface threats.
