The South African V3C Darter air-to-air-missile (AAM) was a further development of the V3A and V3B Kukri (no longer in service; see separate database entry), having greater range and maneuverability. It was shorter and had a larger diameter than its predecessor missiles. Unlike the Kukri, the Darter had a symmetrical fore-body configuration and was an external replica of the widely used French Magic 2 missile. The V3C Darter is no longer in service.
