The Mersad (Ambush) is an Iranian-made medium-range anti-aircraft missile system designed to engage aircraft flying at low to medium altitudes. It also has an anti-ballistic missile capability, according to Iranian engineers.
The missile platform can be integrated in a two-wheeled, towed configuration or affixed directly onto wheeled or tracked military vehicles. According to some sources, the mobile variant is known as the Ghader.
