Members of the Hisar (Turkish for Fortress) family of air defense missiles have been domestically developed by Roketsan in Turkey to defend military bases, ports, facilities and troops against aerial threats. The missiles are designed to defeat aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The missiles and launchers have a modular design, allowing them to be integrated with a variety of platforms.
