The KP-SAM Chiron (Singun) is a man-portable surface-to-air missile in service with the South Korean army. It was developed by the South Korean Agency for Defense Development and LIG Nex1. It is designed to defeat fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, uncrewed aerial vehicles and cruise missiles.
A crew of two operates the missile system.
The missile is launched from a tripod pedestal firing post. The gunner controls the system with a two-handed firing grip.
