The PMR-1 is a fragmentation stake mine with a MUV-type fuze tripwire. The casing is a cylindrical cast-iron fragment sleeve attached to a wooden stake (metal is also available).
The mine has nine rows of asymmetrical fragmentation rings. A black rubber adapter holds the fuze in place.
