The M14 is a small plastic-bodied blast mine. Its small size and limited metallic content makes the M14 practically undetectable in the field.
The M14 series of mines are olive drab with identifying markings embossed in black on the bottom. The indicating arrow on the pressure plate and the letters "A" and the "S" are yellow. The mine body, fuze body and pressure plate are plastic.
The mine has been nicknamed the “toe popper.”
