The XM1100 Scorpion was a U.S.-built network-munitions system designed for battlespace shaping, force protection, economy of force and assured mobility missions. It integrated sensors, munitions and networking capabilities to detect, track, classify, report, engage and destroy heavy and light vehicles and personnel. The system could be deployed in all types of terrain. The technology was based on Textron's Sensor Fuzed Weapon, which has been used operationally in Iraq.
