The REX-1 was an uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) designed for military, paramilitary and police forces. The system had a modular design to enable it to carry a range of payloads, including a gripper.
The robot could be equipped with one of two forward-facing scissors-type arms that could traverse and pitch through 180 degrees. The arms could be fitted with a gripper that could hold an object up to 9 in (23 cm) wide and was attached to a wrist that could rotate through 360 degrees....
