The MULE (multifunction utility/logistics equipment) was an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) designed for use as part of the Future Combat System (FCS). The MULE was to be used in dismounted infantry operations, performing dangerous or routine tasks and freeing up soldiers to concentrate on other miss ions.
With a highly mobile 6 x 6 independent articulated suspension, the since-cancelled MULE was to use in-hub motors powering each wheel, allowing it to traverse very complex terrain....
