The Volk (Wolf) is a family of highly mobile protected vehicles designed for military and paramilitary missions. The design was developed to deal with threats in conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The design maximizes commonality among variants. Three prototypes have been developed: the baseline VPK-3927 Volk I 4 x 4 armored personnel carrier; VPK-39272 Volk II 4 x 4 utility truck; and the VPK-39273 Volk III 6 x 6 armored personnel carrier.
