M1068A3 Standard Integrated Command Post

The first modified M113 units -- designated XM1068 SICPS (Standard Integrated Command Post Systems) -- were delivered in 1990. The M1068A3 is derived from the M577 Tracked Command Post Carrier.

These vehicles were first used during Operation Desert Storm. Upgrades include a new five-kW diesel powered APU, a new AC/DC power supply distribution system, and data distribution system and provisions for ATACCS (Army Tactical Command and Combat System).
