The Defender 130 Tdi Tactical Command Post vehicle, a product of Land Rover Malaysia, was developed with input from the Malaysian armed forces and based on the Land Rover Defender 130 platform.

The base vehicle is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo-charged diesel direct-injection engine. "Tdi" stands for "turbocharged direct injection."
