The Challenger armored repair and recovery vehicle (ARRV) is based on the chassis of the Challenger 2 main battle tanks and designed to support the units equipped with Challenger MBTs.
Each Challenger armored regiment was equipped with five ARRVs: one with each armored squadron and one with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) light aid detachment.
