Sphinx

The Sphinx (system for passive handling of intercepted transmissions) is a naval electronic support measures (ESM) system originally developed by the Signaal in Hengelo in the Netherlands.

Production and marketing was later transferred to MEL in the U.K., now part of Thales. Signaal, after a succession of name changes, became Thales Nederland, a subsidiary of the Thales Group.
