The Sphinx was a 6 x 6 armored vehicle concept developed by French defense firm Panhard for the French army's EBRC project. The vehicle was designed to provide the latest technology to meet operational requirements at an affordable price. France had a requirement for 290 EBRC vehicles, with deliveries to begin as soon as 2018. The French army selected a Nexter-led team to supply its Jaguar vehicle for the EBRC requirement in 2014 (see separate record for more information).
