The Jackal is a 4 x 4 vehicle designed to replace aging Land Rover-based Weapons Mounted Installation Kit (WMIK) vehicles in British military service. It is based on the Supacat HMT 400 vehicle and provides better mobility, firepower, range and can carry more cargo than the WMIK.
The Jackal can travel at off-road speeds of up to 50 mph (80 kmh) and has a top speed of 80 mph (130 kmh). It features an automatic transmission and power steering.
