XP2 armored vehicle demonstrator

The XP2 is a demonstrator developed by the French state-owned Nexter company to demonstrate its ability to innovate with armored vehicles. It is a 6 x 6 vehicle in the 20-ton class.

The vehicle was developed as a contender for France's Vehicule Blinde Multi-Role (VBMR) program, seen as a replacement for the VAB troop carrier.

Nexter also targeted the XP2 for the U.S. Army's Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) program, which is intended to replace the aging M113. It may also...
