The VCR/TT (Vehicule de Combat a Roues/Transport de Troupes) 6 x 6 armored personnel carrier (APC) was developed for export, as was the similar ERC 90 armored reconnaissance vehicle (ARV). Unlike the ERC, however, the VCR has not been adopted by the French army.
The ERC and VCR are powered by the same engine and share an unusual suspension design that has an elevatable center axle reminiscent of Panhard's earlier EBR (an 8 x 8 vehicle with two elevatable axles with steel wheels)....
