The Grizzly was an armored personnel carrier that was under development for the Marine Corps-led mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) II program.
The vehicle featured an innovative diamond hull, which was designed to deflect ballistic energy from the sides of the vehicle as well as the undercarriage. The diamond shape utilized angles of 40 degrees, which the manufacturer called optimally effective against ballistic threats.
