The Bastion is a family of armored vehicles developed by French vehicle builder ACMAT. The basic model is an armored personnel carrier based on the chassis of ACMAT's VLRA multi-role truck. The special operations version, designated the Bastion PATSAS, is covered in "Variants," below.
The use of parts common to the VLRA simplifies maintenance and logistics, according to the manufacturer.
