The Barracuda is a 4 x 4 armored personnel carrier designed for a variety of missions, including reconnaissance and internal security. The chassis is based on the German Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG U-5000 cross-country truck.
The hull is of all-welded steel armor and provides protection from small-arms fire and shell splinters. The vehicle has a crew of two, commander and driver, and can carry up to 10 fully equipped troops.
