The Malaysian AV8 is evolved from the Turkish FNSS Pars family of wheeled armored vehicles.
It has been tailored and upgraded for Malaysian requirements. Proven components have been integrated where possible to reduce life-cycle costs and maintenance.
The AV8 will replace Malaysia's aging fleet of 6 x 6 SIBMA and 4 x 4 Condor vehicles.
