The Italian SIDAM 25 was a power-operated turret fitted with four 25-mm Oerlikon Italiana KBA-C automatic cannon. It could be mounted on several different vehicle chassis, with the Italian army choosing an M113 armored personnel carrier (APC) chassis modified by Astra. The system was not exported.
The Italian SIDAM 25 was mounted on an upgraded M113 APC chassis. To account for the increased weight of the complete system, the chassis was upgraded to the M113A2 standard....
