The Shahine is an upgraded version of the Crotale wheeled air defense vehicle system. Shahine was the baseline system for the Liberty air defense vehicle that competed for selection as the Line-of-Sight Forward-Heavy (LOS-F-H) component of the U.S. Army Forward Area Air Defense System (FAADS) program in 1987. It was not selected.
