The AN/AAR-57(V) Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) is a spatial sensor that allows precise angle of arrival accuracy and multi-threat tracking. It is used in conjunction with the Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasure (ATIRCM) system on Air Force and Navy tactical fighters and the Army's advanced helicopters (DIRCM).
