The latest version of the Army Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) is the primary command-and-control system for U.S. Army Long-Range Precision Fires Cross-Functional Team initiatives, such as the Extended-Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA), Extended-Range Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (ER-GMLRS), Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) program and the Projectile Tracking System.
In its original form, AFATDS replaced the TACFIRE, LTACFIRE and IFSAS systems.
