The Czech twin 30-mm M53 is a towed anti-aircraft gun mount. It is a fair-weather system with optical sights and no radar guidance (the mobile version, the M53/59, is described in a separate database entry).
The twin 30-mm, gas-operated automatic cannon are fitted in a mount with hydraulic elevation and traverse that is carried by a lightly built two-axle trailer.
To prepare for firing, the mount is raised on four firing jacks that are located in the front, rear and on both sides...
