155-mm Type WA 021

The Chinese Type WA 021 155-mm towed gun/howitzer is a new production weapon derived from the GM-45, which was developed to field a version of the Austrian GHN-45 gun on the thousands of 130-mm M46 and Chinese 130-mm Type 59 carriages still in service.

The GHN-45 (see separate database entry) is a powerful long-range gun that uses extended-range full-bore/base-bleed (ERFB/BB) projectiles. The PLZ45 (see separate record) uses the same gun as the WA 021.
