The Trajan is a 155-mm/52-cal towed gun system based on the Caesar self-propelled artillery system and the 155-mm/40-cal TR F1 towed gun system. It uses the Caesar's gun and the TR F1 carriage system to provide an efficient system for all indirect- and direct-fire missions. The gun can cover a larger area with fewer guns, while minimizing risk through its mobility and quick reaction time, according to Nexter.
It was specifically designed for the Indian market.
