This heavy-caliber 130-mm anti-aircraft gun, similar to a wartime 120-mm U.S. model, was the largest towed AA gun in Soviet service. It was equipped with a power rammer and automatic fuze setter; radar fire control is provided by the SON-30 version of the Fire Can radar.
The KS-30 is mounted on a large platform with four double-tired wheels. In its traveling configuration, the outriggers, stabilizing jacks and firing platform are folded up against the mount.
