100-mm BS-3

Country of Origin: Russia

Based on a naval gun of similar caliber, the 100-mm BS-3 (U.S.: M1944) field gun was designed by the Grabin design bureau and introduced at the end of World War II. Its tall, heavy breech is considered a principal recognition feature, as are the dual wheels and double-baffle muzzle brake.

The recoil system is contained in the cradle, which is below the gun itself.
