Soltam's Rascal light self-propelled 155-mm howitzer was designed for high mobility, long range and high speed; it was intended for use with rapid-reaction forces. It was not acquired.

The 155-mm gun could be either 39- or 45-caliber; the wheeled variant, the ATMOS 2000 (see separate record), was available in a 52-caliber version.
