The SH2 is a 122-mm howitzer mounted on a 6 x 6 truck chassis. The China North Industries Group Corp. (Norinco) revealed its existence at the same time as the 155-mm SH1 (see separate record). The system was developed primarily for export, but may also be fielded by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). It is designed to operate by itself, at the battery-level or at the battalion-level.
The system is equipped with a 122-mm cannon developed from the PL96 towed artillery...
