105-mm Type 74 howitzer

The Type 74 105-mm SP howitzer, which was in limited service with the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces, resembled the British Abbot self-propelled howitzer.

The Type 74 used the Japanese Type 73 armored personnel carrier (APC) chassis and a redesigned hull. The driver was located in the front right side of the hull, with the engine to their left, and the turret at the rear of the hull.
