105-mm FV433 Abbot

The Abbot was a British-developed, self-propelled gun. Although derived from the FV432 armored personnel carrier, very little was common between the two vehicles -- only suspension components and the Rolls-Royce engine were shared. Testing of the first prototype began in 1961, with series production beginning three years later.
