Mk 75 Compact naval gun

The Mk 75 dual-purpose, rapid-fire 76-mm gun is a license-built version of the Italian Oto Melara 76-mm/62 Compact first introduced in 1964. It has been installed in smaller U.S. naval combatants and Coast Guard cutters.

The remotely controlled mount is normally unmanned, although local control through a stabilized optical sight is possible. The mount has a lightweight, watertight, fiberglass domed shield that provides protection against nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC)...
