These semi-automatic, twin-barreled 37-mm anti-aircraft gun mounts are found in older Russian-built warships. It was produced in various types, including the 70-K, Type 71 and Type 74 mountings. The ground-based variant is known as the M1939 in the West (see separate record).
The 37-mm gun system was initially produced as the single 70K mount, but required a barrel change after every 100 rounds fired. The V-11 was an improved version with a water-cooled mount.
