The 3M-47 Gibka is a ring-mounted launcher that is designed for use aboard naval vessels, employing Igla missiles in an air defense role. Variants can also be used on land and vehicle mounts. The Gibka targets and launches Igla missiles automatically.
The system provides for 24-hour defense aboard vessels with a displacement of more than 200 tons in short ranges. It protects against attacks by aircraft and anti-ship missiles.
