82-mm 2B24

The 2B24 is a man-portable mortar system designed to engage enemy personnel and assets. The mortar is capable of suppressing targets in the open or field entrenchments; on the back sides of hills; and in canyons. It can be used to damage trenches, communications ditches and light shelters; breach wire obstacles; support infantry; assist fire adjustment and target designation with smoke and illumination rounds; lay smokescreens; and illuminate the battlefield.
