The MO 81-61 81-mm light mortar comes in two versions: the MO 81-61C, a short-barrel model, and the long-barrel MO 81-61L.
The MO 81-61 consists of a barrel, bipod and a triangular base plate. It can be broken down for man or pack animal transport. The weapon can also be vehicle-mounted.
The MO 81-61 fires two types of high-explosive (HE) bombs -- the M57D and the Mark 61. It also fires the M68 and M77 illuminating bombs.
