The 120-mm Rak turreted mortar system is a private development of Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) to meet the requirements of the Polish army as well as the export market. It is also known as the M120.
Plans to integrate the system in the modular Rydwan platform (intended for a wide range of armored vehicle types) were abandoned in favor of the Rosomak armored vehicle.
