The Remote Multipurpose Turret System (RMTS) was developed in the U.K. for installation on new and existing armored vehicles. It has been acquired by the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry for its Desert Chameleon 6 x 6 vehicles.
The baseline turret is constructed from all-welded steel armor, which provides 360-deg protection against 7.62-mm armor-piercing rounds. The Kuwaiti turrets are upgraded to provide protection against 14.5-mm armor-piercing rounds. Applique armor can be fitted.
