The GI-30 CamGun is a 30-mm cannon designed for the section and fire support variants of South Africa's Badger infantry combat vehicle. It is also being considered for naval applications.
The weapon is an externally driven, electro-mechanical cannon that uses a drum-can to cycle the breech, extract the spent cartridge and load the next round. The design is compact, ensures a controlled rate of fire and minimizes gases in the turret.
