The French M693 20-mm gas-operated cannon is in wide use as a coaxial weapon in AMX-30 tanks and is adaptable to many light turrets. When mounted in the Giat Toucan II turret, the M693 is the main armament of the AMX-10P armored personnel carrier. The gun is also fielded in three towed anti-aircraft system configurations as well as a naval gun mount.
