The T-7A Red Hawk is a clean-sheet jet trainer design developed by Boeing and Saab for the U.S. Air Force's T-X trainer program. The T-X is intended to replace the service's aging T-38 Talon trainers. The program anticipates an initial operational capability in 2024.
The T-X program is valued at $16.3 billion for about 350 trainers, including five development aircraft.
